Our Journey Through the Years
1976: Founding Year
The FRVB was established with a vision to promote and develop volleyball across Rwanda. This marked the beginning of organized volleyball in the country, setting the stage for future growth and success.
1978: International Recognition
We became proud members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) and the Confédération Africaine de Volleyball (CAVB). These affiliations opened doors to international competitions and global volleyball initiatives, providing our players and teams with invaluable exposure and opportunities.
Our membership with the CAVB has allowed us to participate in African volleyball championships and benefit from regional development programs. This affiliation has strengthened our ties with other African volleyball federations, fostering a spirit of collaboration and competition.
As members of the FIVB since 1978, we have benefited from global volleyball initiatives, including access to international competitions, coaching clinics, and development programs. This affiliation has been instrumental in elevating the standard of volleyball in Rwanda.
